Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3 Review

If you thought Samsung would be content with the success of its Galaxy series, you were wrong. Success seems to create an even greater desire for success, so Samsung decided to make a new series of smartphones called the Samsung Galaxy Mega. As the name suggests, this will not be about classic smartphones, because the diagonals of the first two models from this series will be far larger than usual.

So, the first two models from the Galaxy Mega series will be called Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3. And while the former will be a kind of high-end dual SIM phablet, the latter will have an impressive 6.3-inch diagonal!

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 will therefore be a very unusual device, whose code name will be GT-I9152. In addition to the 5.8-inch qHD screen with a resolution of 960 × 540 pixels, the device will feature the option of using two SIM cards, a dual-core processor of 1.4 GHz and 1.5 GB of RAM. Of the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 will have a main of 8 and an auxiliary of 2 MP.

This phablet measuring 164 x 83.8 x 9.7 millimeters will work on 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 version of Android OS, and will have a solid range of connections (Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS), as well as a 2,600 mAh battery. His official appearance is announced for the end of May.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3

As for the bigger Phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will logically have a 6.3-inch screen in PLS technology and HD resolution. The cameras will, like the younger brother, have a combination of 8 and 2 megapixels.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will have an understandably stronger processor, which will have a clock speed of 1.7 GHz. The amount of RAM will be 1.5 GB.

The connections will be present in the same size as in the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 phablet, while a 3,200 mAh battery will be in charge of their use.

The dimensions of the slightly gigantic Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 device will be 88 × 167.6 × 7.9 millimeters, which would mean that it will have the same thickness as the powerful Samsung Galaxy S4.

Like the smaller 5.8-inch device, this one will run on 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 version of the most popular operating system with the original Samsung Nature UX interface.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will come in two versions with or without LTE connection. At the same time, the device will be delivered in two colors (white and black), of which black will be on sale first.
