This is a phone that we all knew would have its premiere today. Moto X has appeared in photos on several occasions so far, and now he had the opportunity to pose in front of the cameras of curious journalists.

The new smartphone from Motorola was presented at the event in New York by Rick Osterloh, a man who is one of the most deserving that the Moto X saw the light of day. The first thing he said was “this phone is made for you” and he immediately announced his capabilities regarding contactless control via a new screen.

The Moto X is also equipped with a new voice control option, which is enough for three steps to remember the owner’s voice. At the same time, Moto X has a Quick Capture option that turns the content on the screen into a photo in two seconds. What was announced came true here in the form of an active screen that “highlights” important information on the screen, such as clocks, SMS messages, and incoming emails.

Moto X specification

As the recently introduced line of smartphones called the Droid came equipped with a special Motorola X8 mobile computer system, the Moto X could not be an exception. Its task is to ensure that as much work as possible is done with as little energy as possible.

For the processor, Motorola opted for a solid Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro running at 1.7GHz, which consists of two cores. In terms of graphics support, there’s the Adreno 320. When it comes to memory, the Moto X doesn’t have a memory card slot, but it will come in 16 and 32GB variants. RAM will be the same in both variants – 2GB.

This phone, which runs on the 4.2.2 version of the Android operating system and will have a 2,200mAh battery, which people from the company say can support 24 hours of completely normal, ie. normal use, ie up to 13 hours of talk time.

As for the camera, the Moto X has two. It is stronger, as expected, on the back and has 10MP, while the auxiliary has a 2MP sensor, which is able to make 1080pm HD video, while the main one is only the usual 1080p video.

Moto X design

When it comes to the screen, Motorola has opted for a 4.7-inch diagonal. So, some medium size. By the way, the entire frame of the phone is smaller than the HTC One. The back is slightly wrinkled to lie nicely in the hands, but also because of the storage of a slightly larger battery. Otherwise, the phone is made of recyclable materials.

Moto X is a phone that should follow the highest degree of individualization so far. Black and white are the colors of the standard design, but with the help of a special tool called Moto Maker, you can easily change that. Thus, future owners will have a choice of front and back of the phone, wallpaper, memory, as well as frequently used phrases in correspondence.

And all this in order to make your Moto X unique. This option will become available sometime before the end of the summer, and it will be especially interesting to see the wooden frame, as an unusual phenomenon in the world of smartphones.

Moto X price and sales

The Moto X will first appear in his homeland. Operators, there have already pointed out their prices, which are budget for the 16GB version and for the more generous 32GB. The Moto X will also come with 50GB of space on Google Drive.

The phone will most likely go on sale in early September. However, it is interesting that Motorola for now has a concrete plan for the placement of this phone in Europe! Hopefully, they’re just kidding or they’re a little confused. Otherwise, it will be an additional reason for European buyers to turn their backs on this manufacturer.
