HTC Sensation XL Review

In this article, I give you my quick review of the HTC Sensation XL mobile phone with specs included. Although the Sensation XL was introduced in October, it is only now that feedback about it is starting to arrive from the market or from users, and since this device is gaining momentum, I decided to have a little fun with it and present our impressions of this giant.

When I say giant, I literally mean it, and this can be inferred from the very name of the XL device (yes, it is huge). This HTC device can be most closely compared to the HTC Titan model from the same manufacturer, which when it appeared divided the opinions of mobile phone users primarily because of its size, but this is an aspect we will not go into this time, but simply say: tastes are not argued!

As I have already mentioned the HTC Sensation XL XE315e is quite bulky, its dimensions are 132.5 x 70.7 x 9.9 mm and it weighs 162.5 grams. Sensation XL can be found on the market in white, which leaves an impressive impression, ie. the color gives it a special flavor on the one hand, while on the other hand, as we all know, white is a little ungrateful because there are easily visible impurities on it (read: dirt).

The construction of the device itself is traditional of high quality, which is not a surprise from HTC, and the aluminum cover on the back of the phone leaves a special impression of the compactness of the device.

HTC Sensation XL is equipped with a HUGE 4.7-inch S-LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels (criticism of the display pixeling, it is to be expected from this display a little “stronger” pixeling) which we will evaluate as solid.

Although it is a bit “missed” on the pixel, the colors on this display are vivid and clean, the viewing angles are great and generally viewing any images or internet content on it is a fantastic experience as long as you don’t over-zoom the viewed content when the mentioned lack of pixels comes to the fore.

The camera with which the Sensation XL is equipped is, to say the least, fantastic, and with its 8MP and a maximum resolution of 3264 × 2448, it produces images of exceptional quality. This camera produces high-quality 720p videos (it has a slow-motion recording option).

Some of the “capabilities” of the camera of this camera are Geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, autofocus, HDR, auto-upload… The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash for shooting in low light conditions.

The part of every mobile device that (mostly) every user or potential user is most interested in is the “brain” of the device, so here is some information about that.

HTC Sensation XL works with Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System and is powered by a powerful 1.5 GHz Scorpion processor, as well as 768 RAM. For those who know this matter, this data will be enough to understand what device they are dealing with, and for those less knowledgeable we will say this -The device works flawlessly, the processor is absolutely up to the task and applications open instantly without the unpleasant braking of downtime or suffocation of the device.

This version of Android provides a wide range of features with this device, and the new interface brings a number of new and improved widgets to the general satisfaction of users.

What additionally emphasizes the Sensation XL and is one of the trump cards of this device is the accessories that will be a special treat for fans of quality sound. HTC Sensation XL is equipped with MP3-MP4 players,

Stereo FM radio and a special Beats Audio application for superior sound quality, and in one limited series, the manufacturer announced that the device will come with special headphones (which are otherwise extremely expensive).

Sensation XL has wireless Wi-Fi connection, Facebook and Twitter integration, a useful Document viewer/editor application for handling documents as well as A-GPS support.

The only “pain” of this and all devices like this is the battery life (huge display and strong processor are always extremely energy demanding), but it seems that HTC is trying to improve performance in this field, and according to users who put this device on “Strong” test, the battery lasts 1 day.

As a final word related to this model, we will present the following conclusions. With the Sensation XL XE315e, HTC has created a truly specific device of undeniably high performance for which users and the blogging community did not raise any special objections, which indicates the quality of work done by the experts of this Taiwanese company.

This is certainly not a commercial device for the masses and we assume that it will “touch” 2 special layers of users: 1 layer are people who appreciate quality sound in a mobile device and all the benefits of a “powerful” processor in one device, and the other layer are users which device is not bought so much because of the performance as because of the prestige that such a phone certainly brings.
