In this article, I give you my quick review of the HTC C620e 8X mobile phone. It becomes clear that Windows has decided to activate in multiple fields and implement its Windows phone 8 operating system in as many high-end devices as possible.

After the Nokia Lumia 920, it’s HTC’s turn and their latest Windows smartphone, the HTC C620e 8X. This model has all the technical characteristics of a high-end smartphone, and we present what you can expect from this model.

Design

HTC C620e 8X is a super slim and slim model with the evident efforts of a design team that strived for elegance. This model is pleasant to the touch to hold, fits well in the hands and thanks to its design gives a feeling of phone exclusivity.

The model is made of polycarbonate and the device itself is compact and does not “squeak” under the fingers.

What will delight many potential users of this phone are its dimensions of this phone, where HTC opted for a display of “only” 4.3 inches.

I also find this fact more than convenient, because lately high-end phones have been based on 4.5+ displays, which has seriously called into question the practicality of the device we call a phone.

The dimensions of this phone are 132.4 x 66.2 x 10.1 mm and the weight is 130 grams. As for the hardware commands, below the display are 3 classic capacitive buttons for start, back and search options that have a good response.

On the right side of the device are a Micro SIM slot, a long slim button for volume control, and a button dedicated to the camera.

The left side of the HTC C620e 8X is “peeled” from the buttons on this side.

At the top of the phone there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone and an on-off button.

At the bottom of the phone is a micro USB port and a primary microphone.

The primary camera is located on the back cover, next to it is an LED flash, and at the bottom, the speaker “spreads” almost the entire width of the phone.

Display

The display of the HTC C620e 8X is equipped with a 4.3-inch S-LCD2 touchscreen display.

The aforementioned “smaller” display retained the pixel density of larger screens, and surpassed the sharpness of Retina displays with its 342ppi density. This display has HTC’s traditional color quality, contrast, as well as excellent viewing angles. All in all, the display of this model is impressive!

Hardware

“Under the hood” of this model is a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait processor paired with an Adreno 225 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

Although the competition is already dealing heavily with quad core processors, this configuration is still a good building material for top-class phones.

This is easily concluded after a very short use of the HTC C620e 8X model because whether it is a load of processor applications, web browsing or playing more demanding games, this model gave excellent performance.

Software

As I mentioned at the beginning of this text, the HTC C620e 8X works with the Windows phone 8 operating system. The user interface brings us many innovations such as tiles (tiles that can be rearranged according to the will and needs of users), multi tasking, voice commands, and kids content (content for children that prevents children from confusing your settings and make someone its only them understandable J), people’s hub- so far the most complete overview of people from your device, but also many others, and you can read more about this operating system on my previous blog, by clicking HERE .

Camera

The HTC C620e 8X is equipped with a fantastic 8MP camera. HTC promotes this camera as one of the richest cameras when it comes to options, settings, effects…

The camera takes images with a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, and is equipped with a single LED flash for shooting in low light conditions.

According to some camera tests of this model, when the phone was placed next to an Olympus Micro Four Thirds camera that has a 14mm lens, the HTC C620e 8X managed to put a lot more detail into one frame.

The image quality taken with this camera is excellent, the colors are natural, the details in the images are sharp.

The video also meets and even exceeds expectations. The image quality is 1080p @ 30fps, has an LED video light, the recordings are rich in detail, the focus during recording is fast and the only complaint about the video is the impossibility of stereo audio (only mono) during video recording.

Connection

HTC C620e 8X has quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE support and quad-band 3G with HSPA. The wireless connection of this model is covered with dual-band Wi-Fi a / b / g / n with DLNA and hotspot support, stereo Bluetooth 2.1 connection, and a pleasant surprise is that Bluetooth is no longer limited but has file transfer support.

Battery and memory

We have come to a segment of this phone that this model will not brag about. The HTC C620e 8X model is made for now already (unfortunately) quite a popular manufacturer’s principle that the user can not access the battery and replace it himselfin case of need.

This means that if you plan to take a spare battery with you to replace a discharged one in an emergency, you will not be able to do so.

The battery performance of this model is solid, and you can talk for 11 hours on a single charge.

The memory of this model is also made in the mentioned non-popular way. It is not expandable, the phone does not have a memory card option and the user of this model will have to settle for 16GB of internal memory as much as this model has.

From personal experience, I think that this is more than enough for one average user, but more memory-demanding users will certainly not be happy.

Conclusion

If you are willing to try something new, or break an “old habit” like Android or iOS, this device is the right choice for you. There are many things you will like about this satiety phone.

This model is made to have a slim design, it fits nicely in the hands, it is available in several colors, the functionality is high and the work of the phone itself is fluid. HTC C620e 8X is at your fingertips, I am convinced that I will soon have it and thus complete my collection with another fantastic model from HTC.
