After a long wait for Apple’s latest and most sought-after device, finally last night (around 7 pm local time) with great journalistic attention, the iPhone 5 was introduced. With a bit of a “delay” from Apple CEO Tim Cook, who first spoke about the success of the company he leads in the last quarter, marketing chief executive Phill Schiller appeared on the scene and made the conference a bright spot, the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5 is presented with a 4-inch Retina display that is significantly larger than its predecessor, and the quality of the new display is, according to the manufacturer, absolutely fantastic. As for the display resolution, it kept the resolution of its predecessor with 1136 x 640 pixels, a density of 325 pixels per inch with a 16: 9 aspect ratio.
The already mentioned smaller dimensions of the device are due to the innovative technology of making the display because the touch sensors are integrated into the display itself and this has further reduced its thickness by as much as 30%. What is another novelty is the additional row of icons on the display, which is very useful and further facilitates the use of this model. What is also worth mentioning, and related to the display itself, is the 44% increase in color saturation (saturation) compared to its predecessor.
iPhone 5 is presented with a whole galaxy of improved performance, and one of the most interesting is related to the fantastically fast a / b / g / n Wireless connection (150 Mbps), and the possibility of 4G LTE (100 Mbps) connection that makes this model the first of its kind on the world. The processor of this model is Dual-core, it is marked A6, and the creators of this model claim that it is twice as fast and more efficient than the A5 processor, and this double-speed equally applies to the graphics that this model has.
The graphics adapter is a GPU adapter for high-end mobile graphics, and it is a completely new type of graphics chip, which should provide graphics similar to those on consoles. The processor chip itself is 22% smaller than the one with the A5 label. Apple also talks about the simpler and cheaper production of this chip.
Apple iPhone 5 Camera
The camera with which this model is equipped is protected by sapphire glass, its official name is 8MP iSight, and although fans of the iPhone model secretly hoped for a 12MP lens, this time it was missing and should not worry much because the predecessor of this model or its camera it also has 8MP, makes flawless images.
The maximum resolution of images taken with this camera is 3264 × 2448 pixels, and the camera itself is enhanced by a hybrid IR filter that transmits more light, which guarantees better and clearer images. Another performance is the possibility of Full HD video recording with (1080p) and video stabilization is improved.
The new iPhone 5 model has improved the iFace Time application (video call application) which will now be able to be used in HD quality on this model, not only via the Wireless network but also via the classic mobile network. With the camera of the new iPhone, you can create panoramic images that cover up to 240 degrees, and this performance is enabled by the “cooperation” of the gyroscope, A6 chip, and photo processing applications. In this mode, according to Apple, the camera boasts 28 active megapixels. As for the software part of this model, the iPhone 5 works with the iOS 6 operating system, which did not bring excessive changes when it comes to basic applications. It is too early to talk about any BUGs of this model as there is no experience with using this model, but if the iPhone 5 has retained the traditional stability of its software (which we have no doubt about) this should be one of the most stable devices today.
Another interesting detail and positive improvement relate to the battery of this model, which Apple claims to last 8 hours of talk time in 3G mode or an impressive 40 hours of listening to music.
iPhone5 is equipped with a new eight-pin connector, which is up to 80 percent smaller than the iPhone 4, it is easier to find and potential doubts related to “which end goes in the phone and which in the charger”, and the creators of the new Apple model they called it “Lightning”.
Apple left another pleasant surprise for the very end, and that surprise is of course related to the price of the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 will be available in America for the 16GB model, for the 32GB model, and for the 64GB model, of course with a two-year contract. This model can be expected in the SIM-free version. Apple has announced that it will stop selling the iPhone 3GS model.
The iPhone 5 and Apple have given the competition a pretty serious homework task, and we believe that this model will not repeat but surpass the success of its predecessor, but also the Galaxy S3 model whose appearance Samsung may have timed a bit badly as a competing product for the iPhone 5. This game cats and mice, and the high competitiveness of Samsung and Apple, in fact, brings the most to mobile phone users themselves, because, with their struggle for dominance in the market, they are constantly pushing the limits of the technological maximum that they direct to commercial flows. In light of new knowledge and a little research, we have new (and not very optimistic) news for all those who eagerly await the new iPhone 5. Namely, this model should work on the new nano-SIM card concept. Vodafone UK and Three networks in the UK have introduced nano-SIM cards and appropriate adapters, from which it can be easily concluded that the new type of card is thinner than the micro-SIM and SIM cards used so far. If the SIM contact plate is the same as on larger cards, it will take a lot of skill to thin your cards to a thickness that will work smoothly in the iPhone 5 model. However, if the contact SIM board is changed, we come to a stalemate of inability to use these devices, which we hope will not last long.
The whole problem comes down to, for now, the non-existence of the possibility of buying nano-SIM cards from our operators, and the implementation of such a system for our operators will probably not be able to be solved “overnight”. Operators will certainly offer nano-SIM cards in our country, but as they are now used exclusively by iPhone 5, and it is not part of the standard offer of domestic telecommunications providers, it is logical to assume that our operators will not try too hard to revive such a system. also on the priority list. Also, the introduction of this new standard will probably not be cheap.
