In this article, you can read about the basic rules of the game Shake ‘N Take (aka. Shake and take) and learn how to play. The object of the game is to be the first person to capture all the aliens on the card.
With two to five players, use one pen one die, and one shaker egg. Give each person a player Matt. Younger players may use the side with the geometric shapes while the other players use the alien side. Choose one player to be the alien hunter. This person receives a pen. The player to the right of them receives the shaker egg.
Gameplay rules
The alien hunter rolls the die and begins circling aliens on their card that matched the shaped rolled. If you roll a question mark rotate the diet in whatever shape you want before circling.
You may re-roll the die on your turn anytime you want and as many times as you want. You must completely circle one alien to count it. Furthermore, you cannot half-circle or include multiple aliens in one circle. The circle does not need to be perfect and you cannot draw a line, -, dot, or X, it must be a circle.
As soon as the alien Hunter has rolled the dice, the player with the shaker egg begins shaking. When shaking, the die must come out of the well and settle back into it. You cannot gently roll over the die to whatever you want. As soon as the egg shaker rolls the alien head, they take the marker from the alien hunter and they become the alien hunter. The person to the right is now the new egg shaker. Continue until one person has circled every alien.
In a six to ten-player game, everything is the same except you have two alien hunters and egg shakers instead of one. Start the game with each alien hunter opposite the table of the other. Everything happens simultaneously. The first player to circle all their aliens on their card wins.
