Sony Xperia S Review

In this article, I give you my quick review of the Sony Xperia S mobile phone with specs included. Sony has paid off Ericsson and is now embarking on a fierce offensive with the aim of regaining the glorious “independence” of the time before working together with the Swedish company.

The first step was made in the fastest-growing part of the market of modern communication technologies, in the field of Android smartphones. The first model with Android OS under the Sony label will be called Sony Xperia S.

It is a powerful phone with a 4.3-inch screen and a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, an amazing 12-megapixel camera on the back, and a 1.3-megapixel one on the front. At Sony, they say that it only takes one and a half seconds to take a high-quality photo from standby mode. Photos that were taken with this camera on 1280 × 720 screens simply have to be perfect.

Other technologies in the Sony Xperia S include Mobile BRAVIA Engine, NFC support, and users will be able to store their data on 32GB of internal memory. The software part will be based on Gingerbread Android, and Sony is already promising numerous software improvements.

The Sony Xperia S is very similar to the “prototype” Xperia Arc HD, but Sony has decided to give it a different name from the official presentation. Probably the desire to keep Xperia as a well-known brand was mixed with Sony’s solo performance in strong market competition, in which, apparently, it will place its trump card much earlier than competing products from Samsung and HTC.
Black and white models will be available to customers.
